  The Theory of Nothingness ( Originally written for India Film Project IFP s-11's 7 Days Writing Challenge ) It was a cold winter evening. A woman, in her late thirties, walks down a street in New Delhi. She took a mobile device from her bag and opened an e-hailing app on it searching for a ride. After fiddling with the mobile screen for a few moments she dialed a number, the cab driver picked the call on the other end and told her that he would be reaching within 10 minutes.  After a few minutes the cab arrived. She opened the door and entered the cab. The driver, a young man, who must be in his mid forties, greeted her while lowering the volume of his cab radio and requested her to enter her destination in the app. She did as she was told and then she asked him about the estimated time to reach the destination.  The driver glanced at his mobile screen and after a moment of calculation he gently replied, “25 to 30 minutes utmost, ma’am.”  “Okay!” She uttered. ...

  The New Truth I have seen enough to know that all the angels and even demons know exactly who I am, and I have had dealings with both . There is a new race of humans among us, in the world today. Let's call them Hyperhumans. We don't have the exact time when this race began, it was probably genetically modified, some thirty-fifty years ago. In the last 12 years, there has been an immense growth in the powers and abilities of this race. They have learnt the techniques of mind controlling and manipulation. Some of these hyper humans have the ability to remote-viewing, telepathy, clairvoyance, clairaudience, out of body experiences, space-time alterations, etc. These hyper humans are everywhere, there are not just high class privileged elite, celebrities, politicians, super rich capitalists, but ordinary people, working class citizens have also gained these hyper human features. MIRROR MIRROR ON THE WALL    What do you see when you look into a mirror? It projects a reflection of your world and shows it to you from your perspective. Everything in the mirror looks real and lively. It perfectly reflects the light and motion. An eye can see itself only through a mirror.  Mirror inverts everything that goes into it, it actually means that mirror flips; left into right and right into left, but how does a mirror work? There is actually nothing more than a thin coat of silver metal behind the surface of the glass that produces an illusion of infinite depth. Here, we see that a infinitesimal (nearly equal to zero) thin coat of a metal can produce the illusion of infinite depth (distance). When we look into a mirror, we are in fact looking at a  zero  that produces the illusion of  infinite , by using the properties of light alone.  Now think of our world as a projection, just like the projection of a mirror. What will happen if somehow we manage to look into the future? As per the 'Observer effect' in Quantum Mechanics, observing a situation changes it, because an act of observation causes a disturbance in the observed system.  It means that when we look at things, they behave differently than while we are not looking at them. But how do the system knows that it is being observed? We only see an object when light falls on it and as it reflects the light back to our eyes, that makes it visible to us. But in Quantum Physics, when light hits a particle, for example, an electron, it is deflected from its original path and behaves differently, which forms the basis of Observer effect. However this change is very small and negligible at subatomic levels, but when dealing with complex theories like time travel it can make a huge difference.
