Apophenia

I was aware of the situation, not that I have faced the situation before, it was indeed new. But I knew a basic and larger segment of it.

It reminded me of something, but I didn't know for sure what it is?

And for once I thought that I can control it, but then it spiralled out exponentially; leaving behind a blackout. I forgot everything that I have learnt about the reality and the illusion, the waking and the dreaming.

"Hard belief!" I must say.

If life gives you a lollipop every time you lose a penny and you made this a belief, then there would be times when you will be throwing away pennies, just because you wanted the lollipop.

Just like a pet! Finding a pattern in the randomness.

For example A, a, A and A are all recognised as the same letter, even though they appear different. It's a pattern that is related less to the eyes and more to the mind.

People are accustomed to certain myths and fiction; to think in a certain way, to behave with certain standards, to want certain things and to observe certain rules. They couldn't care less about the truth, they never take the radical way.

Mind learns through the senses and then is bounded by the same senses, but mind doesn't learn through the senses alone. In fact, mind learns more through reasoning than senses. Discord in our thoughts, ideas and values compels us to think, re-evaluate and criticise the reality.

Then there are illusions; some of the abnormal patterns, and even if we know a basic and larger segment of them, it's still new. Like seeing a face in the clouds. Isn't it?

"Soon I will be seeing that face in my dreams and would wake up shivering." I am thinking.

Some of the illusions are so real, that you couldn't even recognise they're happening in the subconscious. Like Dreams and Daydreams!

You should always know when is the right time to exit, otherwise you'll lose the grip on reality.

"So, is that real or just a meaningful connection between unrelated things?" That's all I ask.

It's called Apophenia!
