The Rainmaker - 2 (Book of Ekim)
PART- II
Zol has known Ekim since he was a child and has seen him grow into an adult before his eyes. Ekim has a curiosity within him that Zol found both intriguing and repelling at the same time.
Once Ekim has asked him, "How do you make Rains, Zol?"
Zol has no definite answer to this question. It was a question that hit the existence of a Rainmaker and shook it to the core. Afterall, it was the purpose of Rainmaker's life to know how to make Rains.
Zol answered, "Well that's the most difficult question for a Rainmaker to answer, but I can tell you that Fire and Water both are closely related and follow the eternal cycles of nature. You have to study both elements carefully. When heat of Sun and Water of the lands engage with each other, they form clouds. Clouds bring the sign of Rains."
Ekim didn't get the point of Zol's explanation at the moment, but at a later stage he has to contemplate his master's words when he was himself the Zol.
Zol said, "When you understand that everything comes around in a circle, only then you can rise up the levels of supernatural. I don't know how to explain to you the power of being, the power of soul. But yes there are higher dimensions and as we rise up a level and keep rising then we ourself become the higher dimensional being."
After Zol has announced Ekim as his successor, he thought he was then free from his duties and can safely retire to a peaceful and solitary life. It was however, not that easy. Zol was receiving strange intuitions about the village in his dreams. Zol has always taken his dreams seriously even when they seem absurd and pointless. He studied dreams all his life and sought for hidden message they contain from the nature and the cosmos.
One day he called Ekim and told him, "I see in the near future a crisis approaching, that unnerves me and causes me to tremble for the safety of my village. I see an era of corruption and violence. I see the undead, who say No to life. I see them burning our lands to ashes. They are literally enemies of life."
Ekim was alert, he can feel the anguish and distress in the Master's words, he asked, "So what do you suggest to me, Master?"
Zol replied, "You will know what to do when the time comes, but for the moment, I suggest you to carefully observe the changing patterns of the nature."
There are always creatures from higher dimensions within among us. You may call them Gods, Aliens, Spirits or whatever you like, it doesn't matter to them. What really matters is that, you need to question them, you need to fight them for answers, and the most important of all, you need to learn from them.
"Don't fear them my child, if you begin to fear them or worship them, then you are down the level. Then you can never comprehend them. There is a place far north in the mountains, it's called 'Castalia'. There live some of the higher dimensional beings who have the knowledge and wisdom of supernatural powers, seek for their guidance." Zol said.
Ekim started preparing himself for what his master has warned him against. Ekim was a very good Rainmaker, as he was very keen with his studies and findings, and has an amazing way of recording his observations, he has invented different kinds of symbols to represent different phases of sun, moon and weather and have properly documented these symbols. He used to refer to these recorded documents to experiment with the crop sowing and harvesting cycles.
Now, when Zol saw that his end was coming near, he decided to get Ekim married, soon the after this task was completed Zol left this world.
Ekim has now founded the 5 basic elements of nature; earth, air, water, fire and spirit. He has five separate symbols for each one of them,. And he has also mentioned how the changes in these 5 elements bring the changes into the seasons of nature, in our world, he has also identified few signals for the drought and floods. He has recorded all his research in a Book.
The undead were vary of the book of Ekim, they didn't like the secret knowledge to be recorded in this manner. It was their power, they thought it belonged only to them and so they came up with a plan to stop Ekim..
