The Rainmaker - 3 (Wisdom of Castalia)

PART-III

The book of Ekim was a great help, not only to citizens of Zolo but to the entire human race. Ekim thought he has achieved a milestone to immanentize the eschaton. However undeads were constantly tracking him down, waiting for the right moment.

Next year, there was a drought in the village and Ekim was unable to have any foreknowledge of that, this was a tough year for the village, the following year village was flooded with rains.

Ekim was frightened for once, he was worried for the village. People and cattle were dying, crops were failing and Ekim thought he was failing too, but he was not the one to lose hope or to give up. He was determined to solve this problem of the Zolo.

One night, Ekim dreamed about an alien creature, who told that he can help Ekim to save his village and people, for once and all, but in order for that to happen, Ekim has to sacrifice himself.  The Demon defined a ritual to Ekim about how to offer this sacrifice in a ceremony in front of all the villagers and ensured that in turn he will offer the blessings of heavens to his village and his villagers will never face this kind of problem, ever again. Ekim was ready to offer his life for the sake of his people.

Ekim disclosed his dream in the morning to his wife, she was terrified of hearing this and felt something was wrong with the dream. She reminded Ekim what Zol has told him about the curse of the undeads and to seek for the guidance of higher dimensional beings.

Ekim went on a trip to the lands of Castalia, as it was what his master has suggested him to search for the guidance. Ekim remembered that his master had told him about Castalia, that was in the northern mountains but Ekim didn't knew anything more than this. He kept on travelling for weeks and months and reached the northern mountains but there was no sign of any such place. Ekim passed through many small and big villages on the way, but no one knew of any such place called Castalia.

One day, when Ekin was crossing a river he saw an old sage meditating on the banks, he approached the old sage, sage glanced at him and had a expression of some familiarity. He smiled slightly looking at Ekim. Ekim greeted him and asked for location of Castalia. Sage told him that he knows the way to the place but he warned Ekim that it is very difficult to reach Castalia, as the beings of Castalia are very high dimensional, high energy beings and, and so it is very difficult to reach them. But sage also suggested a way and method on how he can reach them.

Sage told Ekim to have a spirit guide who will help him to reach the gates of Castalia. Sage closed his eyes and a divine light emerged from his chest and concentrated itself on the ground that took the form of a golden deer. "This will be your spirit guide", sage told Ekim.

"Now go, follow your guide, it will help you getting to where you want, and remember when you reach the gates, ask for permission and announce your purpose why you want to be let inside the Castalia. If your intentions  are pure, you will be granted entry, but if you are not granted entry, don't loose hope, review your intentions and try again. May the wisdom of Castalia be with you!" Sage explained.

The golden deer started walking and Ekim started following him. It was night and Ekim was following the golden deer diligently, then after a few moments the deer stopped near a water pond and disappeared. Ekim knew he has to wait now for the gates to open. Ekim kept waiting for hours and when he was tired, he fell into a deep slumber.

Ekim found himself at the doors of large gates with shining laces, like it were made of light, pure light. After a few moments, the doors opened and Ekim entered inside. Inside there were numerous number of light boards, and there were various symbols drawn on them, It was like, like some kind of language and Ekim remembered some of the symbols that he had recorded in his book. He wondered if he has been to this place before, or else how could he remember these symbols and note them down in his book.

He was going through these light codes one after another, after sometime he felt like he was now able get their meanings, like he knew the language in which it were written and can read it easily.

He read about the demons that were attacking the Zolo and how they operate, he read about all the previous Rainmakers who have served the mankind since the beginning of humanity, he read about those high dimensional beings and how to contact them, suddenly he started looking into the future, he saw his successor and his achievements and finally he saw his death as the Rainmaker of Zolo.

Ekim woke up to the sounds of birds chirping around, he opened his eyes and realized it was morning and the sun has shown up. He remembered the dream and all the wisdom he has acquired.

He knew what he has to do next, it was time to get back home, to Zolo.
